Education
I am credentialed to teach science and am currently working on my multiple subject credential. I have been working as a field science educator and classroom teacher for 3 years, and I love helping students of all ages reach their full potential. I went to UC Davis to earn my Teacher's Credential, and I have a BS degree in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology from the University of California, Santa Cruz.
Experience
I have 5 years of experience teaching and tutoring. Before I earned my teaching credential, I was hired by Scott Valley Unified School District to hold library tutoring sessions after school for physics, math, chemistry, literature interpretation, and writing. I am also a piano player and singer. I have extensive college level classical music theory training, know many sing-along environmental education songs, and would be happy plan a fun music lesson study break for your son or daughter. My high school SAT Subject scores were 700 physics, 690 literature, and 690 math. I also got a 33 for english on the ACT and a 32 for math on the ACT. I have a 3.78 GPA in college right now and am on the dean's honor's list.

Hobbies
I know many fun and active educational games and songs that are great for 5 minute study breaks. These study break games and songs tend to keep students from feeling antsy, refresh the body and mind for more learning, and are great motivators for achievement. I also enjoy cooking, singing, dancing, hiking, biking, crafting, jewelry making, running, skiing, playing soccer, volleyball, basketball, and playing the piano.
